Auckland has experienced a period of sustained growth and prosperity over the last 10 years. This has provided the ideal platform to make the changes and transformation required to elevate the city to a prominent place on the world stage. To maximise the city’s full potential for businesses and residents, Auckland must continue to reform and revitalise with an outward-looking focus that connects us to other great globally connected cities.

There is still progress to be made before we are acknowledged as the world’s most liveable city as there are issues to be addressed. However, achieving our goal of being an international city of significance will come by setting a positive agenda for change.

The Committee for Auckland, an independent, not-for-profit organisation was established with the aim of making Auckland one of the world’s greatest places to live, work and play.  Our visionary programme confronts the challenges facing us and explores ideas and opportunities that will accelerate Auckland’s livability. We take an innovative, evidence-based approach to a range of issues - absorbing lessons and gathering success stories from other cities.

With support from our members, we undertake a range of short and long term projects that promote positive social and economic development. By joining the Committee for Auckland, you have an opportunity to make a lasting contribution to the city and region.
