Key Dates and Milestones
- Nominations open
- Induction weekend held in October 2017
- Project engagement weekend held October 2018
- Graduation celebration is held September 2019
Selection Process
- Committee for Auckland members may nominate participants for the Future Auckland Leaders Programme and they may nominate more than one candidate into any single cohort
- One senior leader from the member organisation approves and personally nominates the candidate(s) who are then interviewed by Future Auckland Leaders Programme Manager for selection
- Candidates complete nomination applications
- Final selection is made by the Committee for Auckland Executive Director and Future Auckland Leaders Programme Manager – each cohort is selected to achieve balanced diversity across industries, sectors, experience and people
- Places are limited and nomination does not guarantee selection
- Candidates are welcome to reapply for future cohorts if not selected
Selected candidates often have the following attributes:
- Management and leadership exposure in their working or personal and community life
- Keen desire to define, refine and develop their knowledge and experience of leadership
- Identified as a leader and possessing attributes conducive to leadership
- Able to commit to a two year programme with 80% attendance at monthly events, annual residential weekends and to actively contribute to the online forum
- Enthusiasm for new and different perspectives and behaviour
- Desire to contribute to Auckland now and in the future
Investment
The two year programme investment is:
- Members $6,375 (exc. GST) per annum
- Non-Members $8,375.00 (exc. GST) per annum
* Includes 4 tickets to the graduation celebration in September 2019
