Committee for Auckland convened a roundtable with Hon Simon Watts, Minister for Auckland, bringing together leaders from business, government and key Auckland institutions.

The discussion explored Auckland’s future priorities, including insights from the State of the City programme, Auckland Narrative work and perspectives on the Auckland City Deal. Committee for Auckland presented the Auckland Narrative and State of the City programmes within a broader conversation about Auckland’s role in driving national prosperity and strengthening collaboration between government, business and civic leadership.

The Minister expressed interest in continued engagement and requested further detail on priority initiatives. Committee for Auckland proposed a reference group focused on Auckland’s City and Regional Deal priorities, reinforcing its role as an independent convenor and connector across sectors.
