Frank Bloomfield

Frank Bloomfield is the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) at the University of Auckland, Professor of Neonatology and chair of the board of Auckland UniServices Limited. He is responsible for the research and innovation strategy and delivery across the University of Auckland. Frank’s background is as an academic neonatologist, having worked at National Women’s Health Neonatal Unit for almost 25 years. He previously was Director of the University of Auckland’s Liggins Institute and still runs a research programme focusing on babies’ health and development, particularly of preterm babies. Frank has been a Director of the Committee for Auckland since 2023.
